It would have been so easy to just clam up and say nothing, merely smile and nod in an accommodating, perhaps patronizing way. Charles was good at that. Great at that, even. But Oliver’s revelation had made way for an extremely rare scenario: something he knew that the other man didn’t. Something he could reveal in an equally dramatic way, if he wanted.
(A revelation regarding one of Oliver's past relationships leads to an equally-surprising revelation from Charles, sending the two of them into a tailspin of repressed 70s memories, love, heartbreak, and... Scott Bakula?)
