Summary
“Why’re you here?” he asked. Dean stopped short, frowning and lowering the pills in a mix of hurt and confusion.
“Because I’m your brother,” Dean said firmly. “Why wouldn’t I be here?”
Sam frowned at that, looking almost confused. Dean’s heart pounded with worry.
“But… you were with the angels. I… I left,” Sam said, voice almost hesitant. Dean sighed, understanding washing through him.
“We’re at Bobby’s house, Sammy,” he said, motioning to the familiar room. “We’re together. It’s okay. Now will you please take this medicine-”
But Sam was already moving, pushing himself away from Dean and shaking his head hard enough that he swayed, almost losing his balance. Dean reached out frantically to steady him, but Sam whimpered at his touch and pulled away like he’d been burned.

Or, Sam gets sick for the first time since the apocalypse - since his and Dean's fight - and in his fevered state, some hidden thoughts and worries of his slip out. Dean makes sure to shut down his doubt quick.

Summary

Shit, he’d kissed his fucking brother.
Dean had no idea how he was supposed to wrap his head around that fact. And not only had he kissed him, but he’d liked it. A lot. Wanted to do it again. Wait no, not that. That was sick, brothers didn’t kiss each other with tongue. Well outside of those hillbilly hicks you heard stories about but were probably just a myth. At lest he hoped so but there was that family years ago, the ones that kidnapped Sam. Yeah, Dean just bet they were into each other like that considering they didn’t mind eating folks. But that wasn’t him and Sam.
Sure, the Winchester brothers weren’t exactly normal with the monster hunting and living in a car as they crisscrossed the country. And sure, they’d started an apocalypse because they just couldn’t seem to let each other go. And okay, they’d both been to hell, literally, and back… but they weren’t THAT weird… were they?

"Mom needs our help," Dean said, looking up at Sam and throwing his phone back on the bed.
"Is she okay?" Sam asked, worriedly.
"She's fine but she's working a shifter case she needs our help on," Dean said, easing Sam's nerves somewhat.
"Okay, so you go," Sam replied, nodding lightly.
Dean shook his head. "She sounded like she needed research help too, Sam. She asked after both of us."
"We have a six month old and a teenager that needs to go to school," Sam protested immediately, careful not to raise his voice too much with said six months old in the same room. "Not to mention a dog that needs to be taken care of."
