Summary
Bobby slaps both gloved palms against the glass. “What are you saying, Buck?”
Buck doesn’t reply. He won’t meet Bobby’s eyes. He bows his head a little, reaching for the latch on his helmet.
“Buck!” Cold dread spills into the sockets of all of Bobby’s joints. “What are you doing!”
Buck fumbles to release the lock, but he gets it on the second try.
“Put your helmet back on! Kid!”

Embark with me on an angsty journey as we imagine a universe in which it was not Bobby who was infected with CCHF, but Buck. That means Buck was stuck inside with the team in 8x14 and 8x15 while Bobby was running around outside with Athena. And Buck didn't tell anyone he'd been exposed. Let’s assume everything else is the same. Oh, except no one’s dying this time because I said so.

Summary
When he looked up, Eddie’s eyes were bright, focused. He was a little flushed, and his shoulders were soft but his jaw was set. “I love you,” he said.
“I love you, too, man,” Buck said. “But you know what I mean.”
“I do know,” Eddie said. “Buck, I’m trying to tell you something.”- Language:

There’s no sunshine without Buck. There’s no breath. There’s no life.
For three minutes and seventeen seconds, Eddie once knew what the world would be like without Buck. And then Eddie laid his hands in the center of Buck’s chest and shocked his heart into beating again, and the world was almost right.
The world was only right when Buck woke up. But the world will never be right again. There’s no coming back from a headshot.

Summary
“Arthur,” John snapped, trying to grab his attention. His tone was undercut by the fact that his voice was breaking on the sharp emotions. “This is the third time I find you staring at that gun. I’m not going to wait until I find you dead in here.”

Some comfort in a pit of despair.
