Finding the words isn’t as easy as she might have hoped.
—
The Doctor, Yaz, and Dan go on their post-Flux trip through the universe. If only talking wasn't so difficult, and they didn’t keep running into versions of the Doctor that definitely, absolutely should not exist.

Summary
[“Just to be clear,” Yaz said, feeling very tired. “You’re wearing an eyepatch. You’ve gone for all-black. The hood of your coat, which you’ve clearly just begged the TARDIS to make in a slightly darker shade of blue, is up. But the rainbow suspenders—”]
The universe has fallen to the Flux. War rages without end. On one side, a damaged Swarm and Azure command dwindling legions of the faithful. On the other, a stranger with three faces and no mercy left to give has gathered what’s left of the universe behind her—whether they like it or not. As more and more of the universe bends to her will, the only question that remains is what will become of the universe when the war is finally won?
Amidst these scattered pieces, a small resistance is forming, built on whispers and shreds of hope. Only those who were there know the truth: Yasmin Khan is dead. The Earth is gone. The Doctor is out.
And on a planet long-forgotten, something—someone— is waking in the shadows… -

Summary
The problem with not sharing anything about yourself is that you can be made out to be anyone.
The Master knows this, so in a moment of spite and careful planning he takes the Doctor's companions away from her and shows them everything he possibly can to un-sew the seams the Doctor has so carefully sewn together and hidden from her friends. He tells them about Gallifrey, about war, about the timeless children. He destroys the Doctor relationally and personally. He paints himself as a survivor, paints the Doctor as a killer.
Or; this is the story in which he tries.
In which the Master goes about unravelling the Doctor differently. There are multiple ways to destroy someone completely.Bookmarked by hellynz

Summary
Sometimes, even the best case scenario can be the worst possible situation.
When the Moment came, the Doctor used it—and it worked. He saved the Time Lords, wiped out the Daleks, and ended the war.
He also went through four regenerations at once, nearly died, and destroyed half the universe with it.
This is that story.

Summary
“What,” the Doctor says, because really, she’s incapable of saying anything else.
“You are her, right?” Jack squints at her. “I only had one shot to get in here and I’m gonna be pissed if I screwed it up.”
“How are you here?” she asks.
Jack snaps his fingers and points at her with a grin. “I knew it! I knew it was you, only you would get confused and irritated over happy to see me on a rescue attempt.” He holds his arms out wide. “How about a hug, huh?”
“No,” she answers tersely.
“Yeah, I figured.”
A good old fashioned prison break, a serious talk about feelings, and a discussion of coolness and a lack thereof.

Time is the present and the past and the future, and not necessarily in that order. Sometimes, the Doctor sees a death. Sometimes, it hasn't even happened yet.
Sometimes, an attempt to stop it might just rip the world apart.

All Yaz wanted was a date. To visit the most magical place on Earth with the Doctor, and maybe get the courage to confess her feelings. That wasn't too much to ask, right?
Instead she got killer robots, a conspiracy, and an alien trying to take over the state of Florida. So really, par for the course.
