“Jordan?” A soft voice whispered from the darkness. Jordan hummed back, whoever this was sounded kind, almost comforting in a way. “Jordan?” The voice was louder now but still gentle, sweet. Jordan snuggled their face against the plush fabric of their sleeves, the world behind their eyelids hazy and golden. Everything felt slow and warm and slightly unreal.. “Jordan!” The voice was even louder. There was a sense of amusement in the tone, a potential giggle fighting to be freed. A hand on their shoulder, and they are being shaken? What the actual fuck.
Jordan lifted their head, scrunching up their whole face and rubbing their eyes. The sun is still beaming behind them. “What the fuck?” they grumble, at the culprit of their personal earthquake. “Sorry, sleeping beauty.” Jordan immediately knows exactly who they’re talking to. They drop their hands, staring up at Marie, who looks entirely too pleased for their liking.
