The first week of school had wracked him with so much nervous energy, he had secretly researched homeschooling options on his tablet. As the weeks flew by, the hesitancy faded. The second semester of high school had started, and his boys were still so happy to be there. They’d speak so lively about all their clubs and their new friends, they complained about homework and deadlines but never with any real dread.
That was, until it was learned there was to be a parent-teacher conference held separately for each boy.
