Eddie never thought he’d see the day. A normal name suggestion. He was about ready to give Buck a pat on the back, before Buck (love of his life; colossal idiot) kept going.
“Because when you smash our names together, you get Buddie!”
Buck and Eddie have a baby on the way, and they need to come up with a name. Buck's suggestions are... creative.

“Wait. I’m not actually suing you, man,” Sam says. He had never expected Bucky to take his joke so seriously—because as far as Sam was concerned, that’s all it had been. An inside joke. “I was just messing with you.”
Bucky pauses, and Sam can literally see the gears turning. “What?” Bucky asks.
Sam gestures at nothing. “It was—I don’t know, banter. You remember banter, right Buck?”
Bucky doesn’t seem to buy Sam’s justification, because he squints. “You made me sleep on the couch, remember?” Bucky says, deadpan.
“Only because you snore,” Sam says.
Sam invites Bucky over to watch the fireworks, but apparently, Bucky still thinks he's being sued.

Because battling nightmares is done better together, and not alone, the Thunderbolts have a slumber party on the Watchtower floor. Then Sam knocks on the door.

The whole table—the whole station goes silent. SILENT. Even the probie downstairs stops wiping the fire truck for a brief, horrifying moment.
Ravi stares at his pineapple upside down cake, dissociating. What did I say wrong?
Eddie clears his throat. “Oh, we’re not…”
Talk about earth-shattering information; Ravi snaps back to attention. “Wait. You guys aren’t together?”
Ravi misunderstands the "Buddie" of it all. Or maybe they're just oblivious.
