Summary
The only daughter of Baelor Targaryen, Saera has always followed her head over her heart, and the commands of her family over her own whims. She is the one her wayward family comes to for reassurance: her twin brother Valarr, her cousin and husband Daeron, even her uncle Maekar when his own children go astray. Crushed by the weight of her responsibilities, Saera finds her freedoms where she can.
Yet as tragedy closes in around her, Saera begins to spiral into self-destructive tendencies as her family tumbles into ruin. Struggling to take control of her own future and the sense of doom hanging over House Targaryen like a shadow, Saera must choose between madness and greatness.

Summary
Osferth isn't a monk. Not really. Not anymore. Not since he joined Uhtred's band of misfit warriors to fight for a cause he didn't believe in. But a lot of those ideas stuck around in his head, all of the Latin engrained in his mind. He could recite every scrap of the Bible and every lesson he had ever been taught.
So he knows. He knows he shouldn't look at her the way he does. Not because he looks at her with lust, God no. It's worse than that. Because she's a pagan. A Dane. He's spent his life killing Danes and for some reason, she's always there killing Danes alongside him.
Valdis doesn't talk a lot. But she wakes up in terror sometimes and only the whispered words of their shared language from Sihtric can calm her down. Uhtred says that she doesn't need to talk a lot because she kills like no other woman Osferth had ever seen. She kills like she's running from something.
Osferth hopes one day that she'll be able to speak enough Saxon to tell her what she's running from.

Summary
Alicent Hightower gave Viserys Targaryen five children. One is a lazy rake who can't see past his own lust. One is an ambitious boy, hungry for power and validation. One is a dreamer, far too soft for a world so rotten. One was sent to learn to do battle with his uncle.
And one was perfect.
The moment Alicent held Vaedys in her arms, she knew that the little girl would be her pride and joy. Not because she loved her more, gods know Helaena would always be loved best, but because Alicent could train Vaedys to be just like her. Make her strong, make her resilient, make her smart. Not a hair would be out of place. No one would question her honor or her virtue or her worth as a daughter of the Dragon.
As tensions between the two Targaryen factions continue to worsen, Alicent knows that she has no choice but to give her perfectly molded daughter to Rhaenyra's oldest son for his wife. She had denied him Helaena, but now she has no other choice. But breaking the betrothal between Vaedys and Aemond that had been in place since they were children in favor of marrying her to Jacaerys has unforeseen ramifications.
In an effort to end a war before it begins, she may very well start another.

Summary
It was a curse to be born the second half of a whole.
Aerea just wants to live. To have a life wholly her own, a life of peace, freedom, happiness. But her twin won't let her. They were bound; two halves of a whole, who had come into this world together.
And if Aerion can't have her, he'd make sure no one else did.
