Was it really Eru Ilúvatar that made Gollum fall into the fire? Or was it Frodo's doing after all? Sam is sure he knows the answer and disagrees with how Frodo recounts the end of their quest, believing Frodo downplays his own role in favor of Gollum and even Sam himself. Frustration boils over, and the tension between them finds release in a more physical way.
