Summary
Crosshair swipes Hunter’s discarded vibroknife from the ground where it fell, the weapon slotting easily into his other hand. He readies himself, his lips curled back into a snarl. Hunter doesn’t need to see his face to know. Crosshair also doesn’t need to look back at Hunter writhing in the dirt to emanate his fury.
“You want him?” the sniper snarls fiercely. “You go through me.”

CT-9904 was a defect. an anomaly in his batch of brothers.
The young boy was always told he was not good enough and that he'd never make it to graduation. He'd never be a soldier in the GAR.
He was a mistake right out of the tube.
The grey haired boy, tormented, bullied and belittled by his brothers since he can remember, has come to believe every nasty thing he was told about himself... Till one day... someone says differently.
Sometimes all a person needs to climb out of the darkness, is for someone to offer a hand. Someone who doesn't see your flaws. Who only sees you, and all the potential you really have.
