“You're awful,” Phainon whispered, breath hitching when Mydei rocked his hips back against him.
“You're oblivious,” Mydei pointed out with a shrug, “But here I am, presenting myself to you, and you'd rather delay for a conversation.” He wet his lips, humming quietly, “Is this not enough recompense for my perceived slight?”
“You're insufferable,” Phainon bit back in turn, shaking his head in disbelief.
“Go on, then,” Mydei goaded, huffing, “Show me why I should regret it.”
Phainon has been agonizing over his tumultuous relationship with his new roommate for weeks, now. His roommate-- who cooks for him, does his laundry, and scolds him for his unhealthy habits. Why does he care so much, anyways?

Phainon winced as the plate clanked noisily against the table. He hunched into his seat, trying not to meet the burning glare of the chef across the table. Beside him, Trinnon patted his leg, giving him a tiny smile to which he returned.
Turning back to his...meal...Phainon felt the smile slip off his face. In fact, it seemed as though his entire soul had ascended into the heavens and left the planet completely. The blackened mess that sat on his plate looked as though there were fumes wafting from it. Possibly poisoned ones too.

The Deliverer: Hey, Stelle, this 'sugar baby' idea sounds interesting!
The Deliverer: I even know a couple of people who'd be very interested in this offer. And they're not even completely disgusting old men!
The Deliverer: I just really hope that pulling their sad little pods out of their pants isn't part of the evening's mandatory program!
At that moment, the messages vanished, replaced by a short system notice.
The Deliverer: Oops, sorry, wrong chat!
Mydei's right eye twitched.
One small mistake leads to: the merchants of Okhema counting unexpected profits; Phainon's acquaintances becoming wary of buying him a drink; the townsfolk following the Deliverer's every move, hoping to see more people who decide to touch him 'unexpectedly' slip and fall beside him (and the grim Kremnosian prince, of course, has absolutely nothing to do with it). We'll also see a war council disguised as a slumber party. And, of course, someday the Deliverer will learn how to smile seductively instead of looking like he's been constipated for a week... but that's another story entirely.
