Summary
One of the main characters - the only surviving witness to a murder - has just woken from a coma. Not only is she entirely cognizant, but the first thing that the subtitles say she asks for is a lawyer.
“What are you fucking giggling about?”
The other person that’s been paying attention is Flambae. He’s right next to Robert on the couch, his arm slung over the top behind his head. One foot is propped up on the other knee, also pointing towards Robert, which has him caged in the corner by the arm rest. It’s probably some fucked-up power move. Robert has been ignoring it just to spite him.
“It’s just not how comas work,” Robert shrugs.
“Right, and you know because you’re a fucking doctor,” Flambae quips back.
“I know because I was in one, asshole.”

During a quiet night in, Robert realizes that his coma and injuries aren't common knowledge among Z-Team.
Most of them take the information in stride with jokes aplenty.
Flambae does not.

Summary
Flambae's hatred for Mecha Man flickers out after a series of encounters with the man, his frustrations for him turning into a crush that he isn't sure how to handle.
Robert falls for Flambae almost immediately, but hiding his split identity from him creates tension and suffering for both sides.
After Mecha Man suffers an injury that leads to him getting amnesia, Flambae is "forced" to take care of him as his civilian identity, leading to a series of identity reveals, deep conversations, and (eventual) love between them.
(Title from Alanis Morissette, I definitely think Flambae would sing this song to Robert)

Summary
"I've already told you, I don't need you to spot for me," he says, trying to keep his voice reasonable and not too obviously out of breath. He'd almost had it. Damn it.
Flambae shrugs. "We're not on the clock. I don't have to listen to your bitching yet."
Robert sits up and spins around so that he's straddling the bench facing Flambae. He rests his arms on the bar, feeling the dull bite of it into his muscles through his hoodie. Flambae towers over him, arms crossed, but Robert doesn't flinch.
"That bitching's saved your life more than once, you know," he points out.
Or, Robert and Flambae keep running into each other at the SDN's gym.
