Summary
Nico has been alone for so long, it's strange for him to feel like he has a place in the overworld for once. Much to Nico's dismay, that means he has to start being open about the things he's been hiding for years and even from Bianca. Basically, Nico di Angelo's journey to actually having community and belonging Crip/disabled edition.
Canon compliant-ish! I ignore a lot of TOA and other canon elements that I don't like how they fit in this story. I make the rules and I'm not sorry.
Also! There's more characters than in the tags, they just are only briefly mentioned (Clarisse, Piper, Frank, Kayla, Travis, etc.)

The first time he offers his arm Will just stares at him.
The blond looks at his arm, elbow stretched out, back to Nico, and then back to his arm. Settling on eye contact, Will absent-mindedly rubs at his cheek. “What are you doing, Death Boy?”
Rolling his eyes, Nico deadpans, “Offering my arm to you?”
Another pause. “I mean,” Will coughs. “I see that, I more meant why are you doing that?”
Nico blinks a couple of times, scrunching his nose in confusion. Slowly, he says, “Because…it’s proper?” When Will doesn’t react outside of pursuing his lips in amusement, his cheeks redden. “Is it no longer proper?”

the flower Monkshood, or aconitum, is representative of chivalry, and though i know we will argue over who gets to do what chivalrous ideals, i promise to always treat you with the respect and adoration you deserve.
Will’s small smile softened; gods, why couldn’t he just like this person instead of Nico? They were saying the kindest things, wonderful compliments he’s never been privy to.
He knew why he couldn’t, though. No one would ever compare to the son of Hades. The way he would complain all day long but still help out around the infirmary. The way he always had lunch with Will and walked with him to dinner. The way his eyes would shine like stars when talking about anything he was passionate over. Gods, and he was the perfect size to hug and hold and cuddle, too; shorter than him, but only by a few inches, allowing Will to rest his chin on his head.
