    Summary

“Who’s that boy, then? He going to be a septa, too?”

“What boy-,” Tom turns round in the saddle, holding onto Jace, and sees a strange boy has is huddled alongside the cart, his eyes cast down.

He has a hand on the cart, as if he belongs with the group, which she realizes must have been his plan, to slip out with him. Dressed in filthy rags, the only thing of note about him is the stick at his hip. Renfry has seen him too, now, but he is waiting to hear what she says. This is ridiculous. She should tell them he is a little sneak and have him dragged out of line.

Instead Tom finds herself saying, “That is my serjeant’s child, Ser. I know he looks a mite unkempt, but he is always getting into trouble, at his age. Look at those fine clothes you’ve ruined, child! No wonder they think you a ragamuffin!”

The boy glances up warily at her; eyes pale and grey in his long, skinny face, and then back down again. Renfry’s stare is burning a hole in her skull, but when he snaps, “Look alive and walk behind your father, boy,” the boy comes around the cart and stands obediently behind his horse.

    Summary

Lysa and Catelyn walked down the isle together. Father was between them, one arm linked into each of the sisters’ arms. Their maiden’s cloaks matched as well. Blue on red on blue. Cat’s was new but Lysa’s was Mother’s, unearthed from storage, and kept so carefully in a cedar-lined chest that the sun and moths hadn’t gotten at it, so it was as bright as the day she had wed the young Ser Hoster.

Ser Hoster had only been knighted so he could wed the young Lady Minisa after he had been found abed with her. His father had drowned a fortnight later, and so he was Lord Tully after that. Family, Duty, Honor, Lysa thought absentmindedly.

When Lysa Tully weds Jon Arryn, she clings to her songs and her stories to make sense of her changing world.

    Summary

Satin felt the Lord Commander’s eyes following him as he worked. It was not an unfamiliar feeling, a man’s eyes on him. But it always felt different when Jon watched him. His eyes did not leer or ogle him with greedy heat. They simply watched. There was something inscrutable to those grey eyes – an intensity that was not hunger, a warmth that was not heat, an aloofness that was not cold. In the eyes of men Satin could read much; he knew in them lust, desire, anger, repulsion. But he could not read Jon Snow. It infuriated him. It intrigued him. It made him deeply, viscerally, uncomfortable.

(A continuation of ASOIAF, told from Satin’s POV. Starting mid-ADWD and moving beyond. A JonSatin centric tale of love, duty, and devotion. Welcome to a very, very slow burn as they dance around each other, push and pull, offer and resist, and become far more to one another than they ever expected)
