both jimin and he have been excited about tonight. eight days ago, yoongi rang them up to share with them the news that seokjin’s been promoted at his company. on the phone, yoongi tentatively suggested for jimin and taehyung to celebrate seokjin with him.
with their enthusiasm palpable, the three of them got together to plan it. yoongi passingly and too casually mentioned that seokjin seemed to really enjoy taehyung’s and jimin’s play session at their apartment that time.

both taehyung and jimin were surprised by how smoothly it fit taehyung and both of them were just as surprised when taehyung accidentally slipped into it in front of their friends, seokjin and yoongi. well, it was mostly jimin who didn’t expect it. taehyung had felt it on the edge of his consciousness since the beginning of that day, but he hadn’t thought much of it. retrospectively, he should have seen it coming. at the time, seokjin and yoongi, though naturally nonplussed, were very understanding after jimin explained. they put the incident behind them.
taehyung didn’t. or rather, he couldn’t.
