Summary
A full smile blooms on Abbot’s face. “Dr Mohan, you have your own go-bag?!” He looks absolutely delighted as she rolls her eyes and reaches down to her backpack, fighting her own smile.
“You don’t get the goods if you make fun of me, Dr Abbot.”
His right hand moves from his leg to rest over his heart. His eyes dance at her as his features slip into a farcical mask of shock.
“Hey hey, woah woah, this is awe I’m giving you, baby!”
--
Jack and Samira become friends. It's totally fine.

Summary
“50-ish year old man on a motorcycle…”
Robby waited for her next words.
He braced for immature, or careless, or the one he’d already expected—selfish. But the word that arrived stopped him short.
“...very sad.”
Sad was not what he had expected. Sad was not what the road trip was supposed to be. Sad was not what his colleagues should feel when they think about him on his trip.
And yet, sad was exactly what it was. What it would be. And deep down, he had known that already.
--OR--On the eve of a sabbatical, Dr. Michael Robinavitch prepares to leave, once and for all.

Summary
Jack had fucked up.
There was no polite way to put it or kinder way to phrase it – Jack Abbot had fucked it all up.
Robby has been avoiding him all day. It was simple. Any time Jack came within speaking distance Robby would move to another area in the ER as fast as his lanky legs would take him. Jack tried to wave him, call after Robby, even chase after him but it was both pointless and pathetic.
or
Jack kisses Robby and is now freaking out about it.

Summary
Jack invites Samira to go hiking on their shared day off. She says yes before she can talk herself out of it. The trail’s supposed to be about peace and fresh air, except there’s nothing peaceful about the way he looks at her. By the time they make it back to her apartment, Samira’s sore, Jack’s concerned, and his offer of a massage turns into something else entirely.
