Hyeongjun spoons a piece of heart-shaped ddeok into Minhee’s bowl, scoffs.
“Did he,” Hyeongjun says mirthlessly, stirring ddeok floating on the surface of thin broth, “I’ll talk to him later,”
Minhee looks even prettier in the light of the morning, with wet hair and shiny skin. Really, Hyeongjun doesn’t know how everyone doesn’t just fall in love at first sight with Minhee. He’s so beautiful, so perfect, so—
“Has he ever said anything about me?” Minhee cuts in, right as Hyeongjun’s raising the spoon to his lips. Hyeongjun raises an eyebrow. Why is he asking this? Wonjin has. Nothing Minhee would like to hear.
“Nope,” The lie makes something in Hyeongjun’s gut twist. He chews the ddeok methodically, swallows, “Nothing at all."
