I always enjoy this specific premise, especially considering how... contrived and convoluted the original reasonings of the Marvel movies tend to be.
I fully intend to write a fic based off a similar premise one day, but it's still a joy to see these.Simple, short and straightforward. Sacrifice always feels so good.

There was never any care for Lucifer’s title, nor any thought to how badly Lucifer could damage him if he was truly pushed to. It was like the sinner somehow knew that Lucifer wouldn’t.
Couldn’t.
Every sharp word sent Lucifer’s way, every jab, every invasion of personal space, every childish action to gain Lucifer’s ire.
It only drew him to Alastor more.

Aww... this is actually surprisingly sweet.
I didn't expect this fic to be so nice. I think it's cause I'm used to some insane fallout that this feels like a breath of... sweet air? Actually one of my favored depictions of Lucifer and Al relationship. Only thing missing is a QPR, but I don't think either of these buffoons are modernly literate enough to even begin comprehending the term. This kind of story was exactly what I was looking for when going through the "One sided RadioApple" tag(35 fics of 2026 Jan).
As an aroace, it's a pleasant story. For me it's slightly different, of course, since my measure is that I can't differentiate between romantic and Platonic love(maybe cause I can't feel it?), but it feels nice to have that fantasy of someone who accepts that and loves you anyway.
'Cause sometimes I see some fics that deal with the issue by making it so Lucifer never has to deal with having different desires/sexuality-- and I mean, it's not a bad thing, it's a dream scenario-- but I would love confronting that fact in such a method that it also doesn't destroy any semblance of affection between the two characters, yanno?
Anyway, good story! Husk being on point as always.

Fun and funny! I personally think the characterisation is pretty natural-- the mental image of Lucifer just standing around in the middle while Alastor goes venison on other Overlords is incredibly humorous. The way that- despite the singular POV- we still have vague ideas of what other characters might be internally thinking, mixed with the internal(?) constant monologue, is well done. Lucifer's begrudging reluctance into accepting Alastor is satisfying, along with Valentino's death.
The side implications of Alastor and Rosie is also exciting. I think if there were a sequel, I would definitely come back to read! In any case, this Attack Deer Alastor is one of my favorites.

Summary
“What do you mean?” Angel questions, his voice coming out sharper than he intends. If Alastor is cowed, he doesn’t show it, humming and shrugging.
“I mean that what happened is no fault of your own, of course,” Alastor replies. “It’s not as if you asked politely to be hypnotized and unwittingly spy on everyone you call a friend, invading the place you thought was your sanctuary.”
After everything settles down at the hotel, Angel and Alastor have a talk about what they both experienced at Vox's hand.

I think the parallel between Alastor and Angel, especially in this fic, is explored rather well. Especially with their shared vulnerability despite their places on opposite places of the food chain- connection in spite of the odds.
It's also quite cathartic, considering that I do feel that the... sexual assault scene is not treated with the gravitas it should be. I don't suppose sexual abuse has to be physical for it to matter, no?
Characterisation and language is on point and poignant.

"Oh. I was... I was cleaning that," Niffty told her, holding up her ash-covered hands and forearms to show them to Charlie.

"That's it!" Alastor snapped suddenly, standing from his armchair and slamming his book down on the end table. Everyone's eyes snapped to him as he declared, "All-Hotel meeting, now!"

Niffty and Alastor. Telling on the other hazbin residents so innocently is such a Niffty thing to do! Calling a hotel meeting to tell off the others for disrespecting(even unintentionally) Niffty is actually kinda cool ngl. It scratches the little itch I have about how the show treates Niffty more as a... side piece? Than a genuine character with a background and (even if deranged) feelings. I do understand time limits and Amazon Capitalism(tm), but still.
