Scott lips brushed against his neck, his fangs extending just a bit to graze the exposed skin. Scott grinned at the sharp intake of breath from Pyro even though they didn't need to breathe anymore, trailing his teeth down to nip lightly at their Adam's apple.

Scott could feel the blood sticking to his chin and his cheeks, dripping down onto the stone below as he looked back at Pyro with a sharp grin. Their eyes were heavy behind white damp hair, his chest rising with deep breaths as he panted through red bitten lips. They already looked completely fucked and Scott hadn't even started yet.

Summary
The day after Scar breaks up with Grian, the dead come back to life. Knowing that venturing out alone is a death sentence, the sudden onset of the apocalypse forces them to stick together despite the tensions between them. In the wreckage of the world, they're forced to survive side-by-side, coming to terms with the fact that—try as they might—there's no one they trust more than each other.
“Go!” Grian shouts as the monster charges, putting his whole force into the blow.
Scar watches, frozen stiff as Grian fights until blood and gore and viscera mark the creature up like a Pollock painting.
“What are you waiting for?!” Grian snaps when he finally notices that Scar is still standing there. He grips his weapon tight and attacks a final time, slamming the zombie down—good and dead—and standing panting over top of it, strained but victorious. He starts rushing from the scene, calling back for Scar over his shoulder. “Run!”
And in a way that’s as familiar to him as breathing, Scar chases after him.

“Isn’t it the coolest?” Shelby brightened, giving a little twirl. “I had the contacts and the wig from a while back, but Scott helped me pick out my actual outfit a few hours ago.”
Avid froze.
“Oh?” His voice came out hoarse and barely audible. “Really? Scott helped you?”

He’d looked a bit like he was having the worst day of his life. When Scott had mentioned that to Tango later, the man had laughed, a little raw.
“He’s always like that,” Tango had said. “You sort of just get used to it.”
Or, Etho has been divorced for eight months. Scott has been a widower for eight years. Trust is letting someone else see you at your most vulnerable.
