Summary
Ciel Phantomhive got his revenge three years ago. He expected to be dead by now, his soul devoured with no hope of touching light. Instead, he remains trapped in the same performative role as Lord Phantomhive, all because Sebastian likes to toy with his meal.
Though Ciel's soul deteriorates, Society has also begun to close in. After all, they cannot see his suffering, and a man of his title needs a wife. The list of candidates is endless.
Not on the list is Alois Trancy. Uninvited, chaotic, and hiding secrets of his own, he has upended Ciel's dwindling life. He's determined to prove that Ciel still has something to live and fight for, even if neither of them knows what that might be.
