For a second Magnus entertains the idea of divine intervention. He thinks back to this afternoon, Alec talking about his faith with a steady conviction and a fire that lit his hazel eyes with the flickering dance of flames. The way he'd described it as, “things he knows to be invariably true, the realest thing he's ever felt"...well, it's enough to make Magnus pause. Alec had seemed so sure, then, that the answer he had was the right one, guided as he was by his ‘truth’ and his scripture. But beyond that, Alec seemed…ethereal, in that moment. Taller, somehow, with broad, strong shoulders and a light that seemed to emanate from him, pure white and blinding in the dusty air of the classroom.
Magnus might not believe in a God, but in the face of Alec's conviction? He's finding it harder not to believe in him.

First series (completed): "Gonna Need A Spark To Ignite" - As Alec learns how to navigate his new abilities, friends and enemies alike emerge from the woodwork as the New York Institute battles against Valentine. (Title is from "My Songs Know What You Did In the Dark" by Fall-Out Boy)
Second series (in progress): "All The Ashes In My Wake" - Five years after the events of "Gonna Need A Spark To Ignite", Magnus and Alec have to face the consequences of Alec's promise to the Seelie Queen. (Title is from Hozier's "Arsonist's Lullabye")
Title for the series is from "Dynasty" by MIIA. YouTube has a lot of amazing fanvids for Malec with this song, go check them out! (Though the song itself is an angsty/breakup song, this series is not! Happy endings live here!)
