    “Why, exactly, are you guys fighting, again,” Xie Lian sighs, his head already hurting even though the two have been sitting in stony silence for the better part of an hour, resolutely not acknowledging each other unless Xie Lian tries to make them talk—in which case they only talk to each other through him like he’s a messenger of some sort even though they’re both right fucking there—

    Really, there’s only so much passive aggressive energy he can take in a day before he starts actively throwing punches.

    “He ruined my morning,” Mu Qing intones dully.

    Feng Xin snarls. “Since when am I your fucking barista?”

    Xie Lian is most sincerely not following.

    “Okay, okay, wait, wait, wait, stop, both of you. You’re fighting—”

    “We’re not—

    “—no, no, you are. You guys are definitely fighting. And it’s over—coffee?” He wants a refund on these two, a full refund with shipping included, thank you very much, he's so fucking tired already. It's not even lunch yet.
