So do they trust these people to raise a child?
No. No, they do not. So they rescue the children of the Isle before what happened to them can happen to more innocent children.
AKA: It always kind of bugged me that so much damage was done to the heroines of Disney, but in Descendants, it's never mentioned if anyone had a problem with leaving potential children on the Isle with people they knew to be cruel and horrible.
