Summary
Eddie crushed the barista's look, Steve decided. He was spotted in a black crewneck and matching jeans, the maroon apron with his name pin on it somehow accentuated his toned biceps and broad shoulders. He had big button eyes, Steve obsessively noted, they were dark brown like the coffee beans and brightened with recognition at the sight of him.
"Hey," Eddie said, plump lips curved up in a lazy smile. "Mind telling me your secret potion, pretty?"
Steve let out a squeak and felt his cheeks burn terribly.
Or 5 times Steve visited Hellfire, and 1 time he stayed.

Summary
Steve Harrington can't turn down a friend in need, so when Nancy Wheeler asks for help breaking into a secret BrenCorp lab, he has no choice but to say yes.
Eddie Munson is BrenCorp’s newest security guard, but as much as he wants to do a good job, he can’t say no to a pretty face. Especially when he’s thought Steve has a pretty face for years.
The Strange Energy Research Lab Eddie is guarding is full of mysteries, and when a hasty exit exposes he and Steve to two of them, their lives are irrevocably changed.
Steve starts literally climbing the walls, with the proportionate strength and speed of a spider and a sixth sense that keeps him safe from danger, while Eddie finds himself sharing his body with an interdimensional creature that can form around him like a second skin.
Adopting the identities of Spider-Man and Venom, the pair set out to unravel BrenCorp's secrets while its shady CEO arrays his dark forces against them to reclaim what he believes is his.
And amidst the chaos of their new superheroic lives, Steve and Eddie find themselves growing closer. Their secrets may at first keep them apart, but they may also be what ultimately draws them together.

Summary
Steve’s voice begins to fade, and Eddie feels his chance slipping away with a surge of adrenaline-fueled panic. He begins to thrash in earnest, pushing upwards furiously, shoving his elbows out and shimmying like his goddamn life depends on it. He’s coughing up dirt, crawling upwards for what seems like a century — he didn’t even dig this deep —
His clawing hands hit something viscous and slimy and he quite nearly recoils before he has a fleeting memory and realizes that — yes — this is what he wants — this is it. With another nauseating rush of adrenaline he peels away the blubbery layer of mucus-like film and reaches outwards. He grabs a fistfull of grass and pulls, dragging himself into the open air.
“Wait—” he manages to cough as he twists and shimmies some more. The figure of a man just a dozen feet away stops. “Harrington,” Eddie finishes, and the figure turns.

Summary
There he was.
And there she was.
A less than pleasant pang of something shot through his chest and settled heavily in his stomach. His nose scrunched as he continued to stare at Steve Harrington and Nancy Wheeler in the living room. Steve's fingers were loosely holding onto the neck of a beer bottle while he used his other hand to talk rather animatedly. Nancy threw her head back and seemed to laugh loudly and whatever it was Steve was telling her.
Irritation. That had to be the feeling.
Eddie was definitely irritated.
But why?
OR
Eddie sees Steve and Nancy at a party. He is NOT jealous. At all. Definitely not. He as no reason to be.

Summary
He hesitates. “Don’t freak out, alright? It’s just that I may have gotten lightly stabbed in executing my escape plan.”
“Lightly stabbed,” Steve repeats incredulously. He pinches the bridge of his nose. “Jesus Christ, let me see.”
He grabs at the hem of Eddie’s t-shirt and pulls, and before he can even register the movement Eddie’s hand is around his wrist. His grip is tight but not painful. Eddie’s touches are never painful, even though they very well could be. Eddie has this unquantifiable and undetectable power within him, raw and buzzing below his skin, just waiting to be let out. He could snap Steve’s wrist clean in half if he wanted to and it probably wouldn’t take all that much effort, if any.
He won’t, though.
Eddie would never hurt him.

"Dude, you’re not a sellout." Steve leans in his direction, arms crossed over his knees, gaze intent. Eddie looks away. "You’re amazing."
Eddie groans.
"Seriously," Steve continues relentlessly, driving the point home. "Those lyrics — no one writes like that, man. It was easier to save the world than to ask you for your number? I thought it was brilliant."
Oh, if only he knew.

Summary
Steve wasn’t exactly sure when it started. Maybe the cafeteria, maybe the basement, maybe the goddamn steering wheel. All he knew was that somewhere along the line he stopped listening to Eddie’s words and started watching his hands instead. Fingers on dice, on strings, on lighters—every twitch, every flick, every curl dug under Steve’s skin until it was all he could think about.
It was stupid. He knew it was stupid. Who the hell got jealous of a cigarette or a soda can? But Steve did. Every brush of knuckles, every scrape of rings, every casual touch lit him up like he was wired wrong. And when Eddie finally noticed—when Steve finally cracked—it stopped being about pretending. It became about finally, finally getting what he’d been chasing in his head for months.

Summary
In 1998, 72.5 million passengers passed through Chicago O'Hare International Airport.
One of them was Steve Harrington. In fact, a lot of them were Steve Harrington. Every Friday, just like clockwork, he strides off flight 303 from JFK to ORD, in his suit and tie, phone plastered to his ear.
Somewhere else in Chicago, Eddie Munson's life is pretty good. He lives with his best friend. He works nights at a bar he loves. No, it's not what he'd imagined his life was gonna be like at thirty-two, because Steve isn't here, and there was a time he couldn't ever imagine living his life without him.
But he has, and it's fine, everything's fine. Honest.
He's accepted it. Fortunately, the universe, and Gareth, have not.
After a chance sighting in that busy airport, Eddie has the chance to try and reconnect with Steve after nearly a decade apart.

Summary
There are so many things about Steve that Eddie loves. Like the way Steve’s forehead crinkles right above his nose when he’s studying, or how he's taken to sleeping in Eddie's t-shirts. That shit's objectively adorable.
Cohabitation, however, has brought certain less adorable traits to light. Such as the fact that Steve spent the first nineteen years of his life with other people making his bed, washing his dishes, cleaning his clothes, and scrubbing his toilet.
And, like, Eddie loves Steve, but sometimes Steve forgets that Eddie isn’t ‘other people.'

Chrissy’s been begging Eddie to go to one of her coed softball games for weeks now. He’s said no every single time.
“Why do you keep asking me to spend my Saturday afternoon in the sun, outside, watching one of your sports ball games? You know I’m allergic to physical activities.” He thumbs through Instagram, keeping his eyes down and away from her sad puppy dog ones.
“I’m not asking you to participate. Just come one time. You could finally meet Steeeeeve.” She’s been going on and on about this guy forever.
Why does his best friend think he’d ever be into a jock? What could they possibly have in common?

“Steve?” Eddie’s voice came through it, hesitant, nervous.
Steve could hear his heartbeat in his ears, not answering him. It was quiet for a second, Steve thought Eddie might walk away.
The door opened slowly and Steve heard Eddie undress, the sounds of chains hitting the floor. It felt like Steve was actually falling asleep by the time he felt Eddie get in next to him.

Summary
There’s someone on the outskirts of the group, lagging behind and more than one of his classmates loudly proclaiming their distaste for him, telling him to keep his distance. And it surprises Eddie because even from where he is standing he can smell the sweetness coming off the boy in waves and he can’t help but take a deep breath, inhaling, tasting the air and his inner alpha perks up, omega, not yet but soon. It doesn’t stop the people his age from pretending there is no sign of presentation, no sign of him being anything, acting like he is a beta, a regular human, subpar, as far as the government is concerned.
Eddie takes another deep breath and it is clear as day to him, that soon this boy would present, his scent turning even sweeter and he himself even softer, soon to be claimed, a growl leaves his mouth at the thought of someone bonding him.or
Eddie is repeating his senior year when Steve starts high school, smelling like he's about to present as an omega and most of all smelling like he's Eddie's omega, driving him to do something that destroys his own carefully laid out plans

Summary
Chrissy laughed, rolling her eyes. “That, you are, Eddie. Say, speaking of hot—has anyone caught your eye this year? Are you taken?”
Steve was tempted to run to his kitchen. To ignore the answer and shout into his bag of flour until he had the will to make bread rolls with them. Robin would come out of her room and find him stressed—because bread rolls were, apparently, a sign of them.
“I was speaking hot in the temperature sense, Chris, but no. I’m afraid no one’s caught my eye. Not since I left and entered showbiz. And sorry to break hearts, but,” Eddie looked at the camera, and Steve felt his heart drop to his ass. “I don’t really plan on finding anybody else. Not now, and not ever.”

Summary
Eddie could scream, he really could. After everything happened, after nearly dying, he didn’t think things could feel… worse, somehow. And maybe that was unfair, and unrealistic, because it wasn’t worse, necessarily. But it was. Because now he knew what it was like to feel loved and needed and cared about, valued, and he couldn’t bear to lose that. And honestly, the one thing he really, really wanted, kind of more than anything right now, was the one thing that would definitely ruin all of it.
or
Eddie Munson is pining and introspective and unused to being loved and cared for.

Summary
Eddie’s doing what he does most evenings: lying stretched across the couch—the one they nabbed from Steve’s house when they moved in together as real roommates versus half living at each other’s places, and had managed to prove could be broken in comfortably when it was actually used—but he’s stretched over it, ankles dangling off the end and head propped on Steve’s thigh where he sits on the far cushion, and today Eddie’s just reading. Tomorrow he may do something entirely different; but he’ll be stretched right here either way.
Eddie can’t for the life of him understand what makes today different. What makes his eyes lift to Steve mid-breath, and in the clench of his heartbeat he sees it. Nothing feels any different, but he understands all at once what it means that it doesn’t.
And that makes all the difference.
Because when he opens his mouth on the exhale it’s like his heartbeat pushes up all the things that have lived in him maybe for forever, that he maybe just didn’t add up as two plus two fucking equals—
“I love you.”
—equals…Steve.
——
Or: Eddie has a revelation, and says three very important words.
Steve…doesn’t react as expected.
