Summary
Exhilarating.
If Choi Yeonjun is asked to describe Choi Soobin in just a word, just one word, he’d choose exhilarating. He often wonders how he hasn’t bust through the seams.Their relationship was supposed to be simple: an exuberant heir and a diligent bodyguard. But here they stand, and Yeonjun’s afraid. Nothing’s simple when he’s with Soobin, he realizes- already a decade too late.
“Jun, your eyes,” Soobin exhaled, still lightly holding his cheek, “there’s a whole universe waiting to be discovered in your eyes,” a rough thumb nears just the corner of his eye, right where a glitter eyeshadow powder has fallen astray.
“I think that’s just the eyeshadow,” he whispered like he’s afraid. He is afraid.
Nothing is ever simple when it’s the two of them.

READ THE TAGS. PLEASE GOD READ THE TAGS. THIS IS A VERY ANGSTY, HEAVY FIC WITH A LOT OF DARK THEMES. READ THOSE TAGS. THANK YOU.
Slow updates possibly, because I have trauma with DV myself. This fic started as a project to help me work through my trauma, but after I got a little tipsy and decided to post it on TikTok a lot of people wanted to read this fic. I hope this finds someone who will enjoy reading as much as I will enjoy writing, but due to how close to home the abuse aspect is, it might be a while between chapters. But I promise I won't abandon it, and will still post as regularly as I can. This fic is too important for me to just abandon 🤗 Y'all just might have to bear with me.
Also some of the chapters are REALLY long lol so it takes a while to edit them.

Summary
In the midst of the frantic, rhythmic motion, a small shift in the air, pulled Will from the blinding focus of sensation. His head lolled back against the pillows, his eyes, hazy and dilated, snapping open.
That’s when he saw her. Vanessa. Standing in the sliver of the doorway.
He didn't gasp. He didn't stop Mike, didn't even slow the relentless, punishing rhythm. There was no room for surprise, not now, not after all this time. He just stared at her with the quiet, triumphant knowledge that had settled deep within him years ago. It was a look of profound, quiet acknowledgement—a confirmation of the ending he had always known was their inevitable destination.
In that gaze, Will was telling her that her story with Mike was over, that he had merely held the place for him until the time was right.
The problem with Mike Wheeler was not that he didn't know how to exist in halves, but that he refused to let Will Byers exist without him. In 1991, Will Byers is an art student at NYU, living for the 10:00 PM calls and the thick, ink-stained manuscripts Mike sends from Bloomington. He has resigned himself to being the moon to Mike’s sun.

Summary
“Yeah, no- I get it- I don't need anything… I- It just feels way too soon, you know?” He was stumbling all over himself to try and save the situation, backtracking a little too far that it hurts.
“Mhm.” Will finds himself humming in agreement, too stunned to do anything else as he stares at the man – how his fingers twitch in the air before balling up into fists, his whole body turning to look at him again.
He wonders if it would be the right thing to do, if it really is okay to move on with his life when he knows his sister would always be stuck in one place? It's dumb, stupid to think about, he knows that, but— Will always led his life with an infuriating strong empathy, even though he was not given an ounce of that for all that he had gone through. He couldn't help but think about her, Eleven- Jane, his sister. What she would say if she saw him.
Or: Will and Mike after the epilogue, showcasing what really happened after everything; how they struggle with the feelings of guilt and shame that come with the memory of Eleven.
Also, Will gets a boyfriend— nobody knows how to deal with it.
Nobody being everything. Everything being Mike fucking Wheeler.
