Bracing for the next shock, Robert lined up his cue stick and shot… but the tell-tale electric jolt never came.
Leaning back to rest his arms on the table, he glanced up at his coworkers with a confused expression on his face. A quick look around made it clear Invisigal held the controller, so why hadn’t she used it?
A light smirk spread across his lips.
“What, have you finally gotten bored of-”
She flashed a bright grin, jamming her finger onto one of the controller’s buttons.
The highest setting.
The shockwaves rippled through Robert’s neck, and this time it hurt.
With a curse, he hunched over, holding himself up on the rim of the table as he gasped sharply. A heat that had nothing to do with alcohol or the muggy air of the bar pooled low in his abdomen as he struggled to stand on his suddenly unsteady legs.

During a night at The Sardine, the Z-Team gets fed up with Robert winning every pool match. In an effort to keep things interesting, he agrees to their "debuff" of choice, a shock collar, thinking that he'll be unaffected due to his high pain tolerance. He thought wrong.

“You’re fucking with us,” Malevola finally speaks, realization dawning on her. On the screen, Courtney can see her squint, looking at her like she’s trying to find any hint of a lie or joke in the depths of her soul. If anyone had the power to do it, it would be her anyway.
She wouldn’t find it even if she tried though, and that thought alone is enough to make the heat in Courtney’s cheeks dust them with a color the Z-Team has never seen on her before. When she still doesn’t say another word, doesn’t confirm or deny the growing suspicions, another gasp comes from Alice, like she’s finally discerned what the hell is going on. “Shit. You’ve never had—”
“No,” Courtney declares at last, exasperated, and she closes her eyes in lieu of vanishing completely. “I’ve never had sex, okay? There.”

The thing was, Anders had never expected the moment to happen mid-sentence, over a lie so innocuous. He’d always expected something grander, or at least more concrete. A warm, shared knowing the moment of meeting. Sparks. Or anything other than spilling your guts without warning. The sudden, jarring inability to shape a lie for the one person the universe had arbitrarily decided mattered.
Despite his later cynical misgivings, he’d grown up imagining finding his soulmate would feel like falling in love. But he was quickly finding that it felt more like being undressed in public.

If Anders had to pinpoint the exact moment his better sense had abandoned him, he would trace it back to that day in Lowtown marketplace. Witnessing Fenris, an elf who had only ever shown himself to be acerbic at best and vitriolic at worst, practically melt a merchant with unexpected kindness and effortless charm? Well, it was eye-opening.
He didn’t dwell too much on the way that smooth voice made his stomach flip, nor the sudden heat he felt seeing that broad smile for the first time. He was mostly preoccupied with two immediate questions: 1) why had Fenris never treated him this way? And, 2) what would it take to achieve that outcome?

Summary
After a spell makes him relive his branding, Fenris does not remember his freedom and assumes the mage in front of him must be his master. Anders, in an effort to not stress him out, plays the role expected of him. This newfound vulnerability makes buried feelings surface for Fenris, Anders and Hawke.
Or: Fenris regresses into slavery. Angsty shenanigans ensue while Anders tries to make him come back to normal.
