Mike Wheeler is staring at Will Byers after 4 years. In a random gay club in Chicago, no less.
OR: Will sees Mike at a gay club after 4 years of no contact.

“Mike…” he could tell Nancy was trying to be gentle with this. He was fragile after all. “Are you jealous of Will's boyfriend?” That word keeps coming back. Keeps sending a shiver up his spine.
“Shit…” he whispered into the phone. Finally realizing. Shit, indeed. “Uh Nancy I gotta go,” he spat out quickly.
“Wait Mike-” Click. He hung up on her. He is totally going to regret that.
Or: Will gets a boyfriend and Mike is totally okay with it (not really at all actually)

He started to walk towards Will when he stopped in his tracks. “You’re wearing my jacket?” he asked in half a question half a statement. Pink started to creep up Will's neck as he averted his eyes from Mike's gaze. “Um yeah. I- you gave it to me yesterday and I forgot to give it back so I brought it with me but I guess I got cold or something I don't know. Sorry.” He was shy, and Robin could tell.
Mike stood still and took a long look at Will and his blush covered cheeks. He glanced up and down, taking him in. Robin shot him a look. A stop looking at your friend who's hopelessly in love with you because you’re giving him false hope and he's miserable kind of look.
“No, no it’s ok” he spat out quickly. “It looks better on you anyways,” he used a quiet voice, one that she had noticed was only reserved for Will. Robin looked at Will and saw his face turning even more red, and then back at Mike who was starting to turn the same shade of red as Will.
Or: 5 times people were scheming to get Mike and Will together +1 time they actually did.

Mike is fine with being single, really he is.
If he wants to go out to a nice dinner, he’d just ask Will. If he wanted to cuddle during a movie, he’d just lean on Will’s shoulder. They’ve always been like this.
He wouldn’t mind having someone to kiss. But he didn’t even like kissing his highschool girlfriend, Jane. It didn’t feel magical or anything like the movies said. Just lips and spit intertwining.
But, it's other people who are the issue.
Or: Robin helps Mike out cause he’s an idiot.
