Summary
Still, everyone knew that there was more to this Temple than apprentices were allowed to see: buildings so unstable that even experienced World travellers were barred from entering, lest history collapse upon them. Yet how much more is lost by allowing such buildings to wither, untouched?
A carefully selected Master, once named Successor, would have unfettered access to the entire Land. I simply could not await that chance. This, then, is how I slipped away from my class to the collapsed steps of the courtyard, where the once-elaborate network of stairs and bridges had long since fallen to a disrepair and isolated large parts of the ruins.
Unlike our teachers, I would not be cowed by the past.

Summary
Admiral Havelock and Lord Pendleton would pay her no mind as she buzzed quietly about the bar with a broom. They’d stretch out blueprints, waving over bottles of wine and speaking of equality and politics, failing to see the lines of disgust cut around Corvo’s grim mouth. Across from Havelock’s rigid shoulders and Pendleton’s oily tones, Corvo hulked in his gold-trimmed coat like a Serkonan dock worker, steely-eyed at Pendleton’s wistful nostalgia for more civilised times. Cecelia’s calloused fingers tightened on the broom handle. A splinter dug into her palm.
Yes, she was sure of it: Corvo was the only man at the Hound Pits she could trust.

Summary
Lauriam’s lip quirked. Terra watched it through a shield of thick eyelashes, though angling his face downward as if to inspect the drink on the table. It was a warm, sunlit colour, as if Lauriam had captured the liquid light of golden hour over the half-ruins of the Land of Departure in this delicate piece of ceramic. But there was something much more fascinating, Terra thought, about Lauriam’s restrained smile.

Summary
Gift fic written for @transrinoa as part of the Twitter Kingdom Hearts Valentine's Gift Exchange 2022, that I created and modded.
Using the prompts 'Namixi' and 'Shapeshifting'.
I had a lot of fun writing this piece, and it was certainly a challenge to tackle a ship I haven't written much for, and a subject I've never written before. But, I'm proud of this and I really hope my Valentine likes it!!
--His smile faltered, and gave way to a grimace. It seemed neither one of them was good at goodbyes. Though she hadn’t known him for long, the genuine care he felt for her, and seemed to exude as a part of him, was obvious. And despite it all, she would miss him fiercely.
“You’ll do great, my dear,” He said. “And I will always be here, if you think you’re ready to come home.”
“Thank you, Merlin,” She had whispered, as a sob built in her throat, “for everything.”

Summary
Roxas tries to speak, really tries to get air in his lungs and words past his tongue, but all he manages is a stuttering exhale that sounds horribly like a sob. The pressure on his palms increases a bit, and even though he knows Sora is trying to keep him grounded Roxas can feel himself spiraling somewhere far, far away.

Summary
They’ve been burning rubber for an hour at least, shredding the tires of the Thunderbird as they explode down the highway headed east. Shrubland flies by, baked earth and withered foliage stretching out for mile after mile in a featureless möbius strip. Terra imagines this might be what purgatory is like: a blurred eternity of pushing 90 with no destination in sight.
In which a job goes sour, leaving Terra and Aqua to grapple with the possibility that Ven's exorcism wasn't as successful as they'd hoped.

Summary
“Where’d you come from?”
The toddler grins at Kiki with rosy cheeks and answers in a happy, gurgling sound.
Cute, Jiji would say if he was here with her. Cute, but not very helpful.
(or: Kiki finds a lost little boy on the beach and delivers him back to his family.)
