Returning to the campgrounds had been…fine. The sun shone over the lake, sparkly and warm as it crashed into the sand, the grass, the surrounding trees. The scent of the grass was nice, and it was…well, it was nice. It was fine.
It shouldn’t make Dan feel like he’s walking over a minefield. It’s not like anything even happened, not on these beautiful grounds.
