Summary
“That’s your problem, my dear Dazai. You think no one will call your little bluff– and now your partner will get to watch you die.”
As Fyodor raises his pistol to aim once more at Dazai’s head– now hardly more than a meter away– Dazai juts his chin up defiantly to stare down the barrel of the gun. The other man's grinning face looms down above him, haloed by the golden sun.
It is, Dazai thinks, the epitome of a shitty last sight.
The desert is a perfect hiding place for those who lurk in the shadows, and wandering cowboys Dazai Osamu and Nakahara Chuuya have found this out the hard way more than once.

Summary
His mind feels like candy floss, unspooling. As though the threads of his life are unraveling, existential, and nothing of Aki will be left when it's gone. Lack of time has warped his desires; taken some away, heightened others. Made him unsteady in his own skin, in the way Angel looks at him too-knowingly.
Aki doesn't comment when he hears movement from behind him, when Angel joins him to survey the view. The devil remains a careful distance away. Close enough to reach out and touch if he wished. Far enough to avoid accidental contact, though he catches a whiff of strawberry shampoo. An oddly human detail that makes something in his chest ache.
"What are you thinking?" Aki says finally, before draining the rest of his beer can. A quiet request. They both know what he's asking.
There are consequences to giving in - love cannot change what has already been written in blood.

Summary
A lovely face- dark hair cut above her shoulders, with sharp features accented in red paint and merciless violet eyes. The woman is as beautiful as Kouyou had dreamed. As sad, too.
Her gaze pins Kouyou in place as she leans back and adjusts the furs across her shoulders. It all but radiates hostility: if looks could kill, she’d be buried in the dirt. Kouyou’s eyes are drawn to the bloodied cloth that the other woman holds and her hand goes to the wound in her side, but the woman grabs her wrist with a snarl.
“Don’t touch,” she says, voice low.
There's a delicate balance between man and beast, and the more that Ozaki Kouyou interacts with the wolf-woman Yosano, the less she knows where to draw the line.

Summary
That’s how he ends up with a mostly-full plate of onigiri for Zoro’s midday snack, staring with abject horror at the ball of rice he’s been molding by hand.
A heart shape. A heart. For Zoro.
A noise that can only be described as twin-to-a-dying-teakettle escapes Sanji’s mouth, his gaze shifting frantically between the sort-of heart-shaped rice he’s holding and the rest of the perfectly heart-shaped onigiri already displayed on the plate, topped with little pieces of sea king meat and furikake.
“This cannot be happening,” he moans, resting his forehead on the counter, hands still cupping the half-made onigiri in front of him like an empty prayer. “I’m gonna kill him.”
In which Sanji makes a few discoveries about his own feelings, and is treated to an unexpected gift.

Summary
It twists him, turns him, curls in his chest like something alive, something he knows but can’t dare to name. Chuuya curses the red-black petals that fall from his lips, these nearly rotten things that tear him apart from the inside out. Part of him wants to rip his own traitorous heart out, through a ribcage shattered by feelings he can’t contain.
Anger is easy, a thing he’s learned to control. This— whatever the hell this is— is not.
Or at least it’s easier to feel as though this is beyond his own control, because Chuuya is not in love.
(It feels like a lie even to himself.)
After he's hit by a strange ability, Chuuya is forced to consider truths he'd much rather keep hidden- but not everything is as simple it seems.
