Summary
Duke Kinard was already waiting at the altar. His back was turned, but from what Buck could make out of him, they were about the same height and build. Buck took his first few steps. The Duke never turned to look at him, but everyone else did.
Other than his mother, there were no familiar faces. No encouraging looks. No real smiles. Everyone here was a stranger and they probably couldn’t even begin to understand why this was happening at all.
He held his head high and before he knew it, he was there. The Duke turned.
Buck was stunned.
Blue eyes met his with a stoic expression. He had a jaw that could have been used to cut glass, a dimpled chin. An aquiline nose that fit him perfectly. Duke Kinard was without a doubt, the most attractive man that Buck had ever met and he was about to become his husband.
-
Regency AU. Tommy thought he would never marry anyone, let alone a man. Buck had no real choice between marrying a man or a worse fate. Neither knew that being married to each other would be the best thing that could have ever happened to them.

“Isn’t that the firefighter you stole that helicopter with last year?”
Tommy, who had been in the process of doing a safety check on a helicopter, looked up. Melton brought his phone closer and there was Hen in some kind of flight suit talking about Karen and space.
“It’s her, right?”
“Uh, yeah. Hen Wilson. What is this?”
“You really live under a rock, Kinard. Tripp Hauser is sending some everyday heroes up to space. She’s one of them.”

Summary
“Are you daddy’s friend’s magic friend?” She asked, cutely furrowing her brow.
“If I understood that correctly, I am,” Buck said with a chuckle. “I’m a witch. And I take it you’re the one that did magic for the first time today?”
“Yes,” she said, eyes wide as if the surprise had not worn off.
Oh. She hadn’t even known it was a possibility. That made things curious.
“Congratulations,” Buck said. “It’s really cool, right?”
She gave a quick nod and then frowned. “Wait, aren’t all witches supposed to be girls? Wouldn’t you be a wizard or a warlock?”

Summary
He found Maddie in the kitchen, boiling water for tea. It was another part of the ritual. Sometimes they talked about what Buck had been telling Robbie, but most of the time they just caught up. Talked about work. Talked about Buck’s new place.
“You don’t like to fly,” Maddie said, making a questioning face.
Buck ducked his head. “I don’t.”
“Buck,” Maddie said. “Come on. I don’t believe that for a second. And you didn’t want to go to space?”

It had only been four weeks since Bobby passed and Buck felt all of it settling harshly right into his bones. Did he not ask what it was like for Eddie to find out?
Or, Buck is grieving, Eddie is the worst, and Tommy is the soft place that Buck needs to deal with it all. 8x17 and 8x18 fix it fic.

He would stick around long enough for Eddie to arrive, so that Evan wasn’t alone and so that once he left they could all mourn without him in the way. As much as he admired and held Bobby in esteem, it wasn’t the same for him as it was for the rest of them. They had lost a family member, a mentor, a father, a friend, and a husband. Tommy was an old co-worker, one that hadn’t even kept in touch.

-
Tommy reached into the little wooden chest offered to him and pulled out a tiny pink folded post-it from the sea of similarly folded post-its.
A finger was pointed to his nose. “We’re capping it at $50. No swapping. No telling anyone who you got. No gift cards. Since we’re on shift over Christmas we’ll swap presents then and it better be wrapped or in a gift bag.”
Tommy pushed Hen’s finger away. “I know how Secret Santa works, Hen.”

Summary
Set during 8x07, Eddie sends Tommy a picture of Buck's baked good filled fridge. Fix-it fic.
-
Tommy receives a picture of a fridge full of baked goods. Mostly, from what he can tell, loaves. The picture comes from Eddie without a caption. It takes a while for him to realize that the fridge is familiar because it belongs to Evan.Eddie texts him a few minutes later:
Every time he thinks about calling you, he bakes something instead.
Tommy has a little bit of a breakdown about that because maybe in his mind he'd thought that Evan would already be over it, over them. He'd been not hoping for it, but expecting it, even while he knew that he would probably have a few more cries about it and that any reminder of Evan was enough to make his heart hurt.
