    Summary

After five years of being overworked and under appreciated, pulling too much over time and not enough time off, Seoho is sick of it. Even looking at the outside of the building where he works gives him anxiety and makes him want to run away and change his name. So of course, when the perfect job opportunity lands in his inbox, he’s ready to jump at the bit—better salary, better work, on a better team. The only downside? That team includes his ex who he hasn’t seen in over five years, with good reason.

He’s sure he won’t have to deal with Geonhak, though. They work on different floors in different departments. But when a series of scandals breaks out in their workplace, the two of them are stuck in a potentially career-breaking project together. If they could only stop arguing long enough to get to work.

Because Seoho hates Geonhak, and he’s sure the feeling is mutual.

    Summary

Seoho recalls how it felt to be triggered into a rut through no fault or prompting of his own. Without any type of release or comfort, the rut lasted twice as long as usual, and Geonhak had been gone the entire time, visiting his family, so Seoho had to endure it alone.
He can make sure Geonhak doesn’t have to go through the same thing.

    --

Seoho's been in love with his best friend and roommate for years. He'd do anything for him. But the morning after Geonhak's rut tastes a lot like regret.

    Summary

“I knew I had an ugly life. I knew I was lonely and I was scared. I thought something might be wrong with my father, wrong in the worst possible way. I believed he might contain a pathology of the mind–an emptiness–a knocking hollow where his soul should have been. But I also knew that one day, I would grow up. One day, I would be twenty, or thirty, or forty, even fifty and sixty and seventy and eighty and maybe even one hundred years old. And all those years were mine, they belonged to nobody but me. So even if I was unhappy now, it could all change tomorrow. Maybe I didn't even need to jump off the cliff to experience that kind of freedom. Maybe the fact that I knew such a freedom existed in the world meant that I could someday find it. Maybe, I thought, I don't need a father to be happy. Maybe, what you get from a father you can get somewhere else, from somebody else, later. Or maybe you can just work around what's missing, build the house of your life over the hole that is there and always will be.” – Augusten Burroughs, A Wolf at the Table

It’s not going viral because Jane’s true identity was exposed—or even because Ilya was blatantly sexting in public. That part’s as expected as Shane doing yoga or any human being on earth breathing.

No, the texts are going viral because no one can believe how bad this “Jane” is at sexting.

The women of the world are outraged. The men of the world are baffled. No one can understand why Ilya Rozanov, whose abs have their own fan club, is wasting his time on ‘a piece of cardboard that wished to be turned into a real girl’ (this particular joke has 300k likes and counting).

Or: After a social media trend mocks Shane's sexting skills, he tries to improve them. It goes about as poorly as you'd expect.

In the days leading up to the first time Shane Hollander faces his old Montreal team with the Ottawa Centaurs, he kinda goes through it. Maybe a lot of bullshit built up over the years. Maybe now that he's finally in a place to deal with it, he starts to.

Featuring my beloved Centaurs taking care of their own, a couple of very early mornings, a minor meltdown at practice, a slightly bigger meltdown at a barbecue, and one Shane Hollander finally coming home.
