    Summary

At the Featherington Ball, Colin Bridgerton demonstrates that he is a man of honor when he defends the Featherington ladies against Jack Featherington’s scheme. Penelope decides to match his bravery by revealing herself as Lady Whistledown to him.
In a world where Colin never declares “I would never court Penelope Featherington”, and Penelope trusts Colin with her secret identity, Colin and Penelope have no secrets between them except their love for each other.

There is a lot of exploration of Colin and Eloise coming to terms with Penelope being Whistledown, because although they forgave her in the show, we didn’t really get to see them talk.

Bonus: Rae has long suspected that Miss Penelope had a secret, and on the night of the Featherington ball, she overhears it confirmed. As she helps Penelope find her way toward her young man, she finds a little love of her own.

    Summary

What if Penelope reacted differently when Colin accused her of trapping him?

Penelope ran away from the Ton, giving Colin what she thought he desperately wanted: his freedom. She loves him too much to allow him to be trapped in a loveless marriage with her.
Colin never expected to lose Penelope; his anger towards her pushed her to leave him, promising he would never have to see her again.

Thanks to the money she made as Lady Whisteldown, she fled to Greece, passing as a young widow named Anne Bridges. She is set to be a single mother and raise her child away from a society that never cared for her and from a father who would think the child is only a product of her "plan entrapment".

Thanks to the help of his brothers, Colin will do even the impossible to get his Pen back.
