For almost as long, I had first suspected and soon confirmed that beneath his veneer there slumbered secret affections, have ever since known his heart to be as grand and soft as his detection skills are precise. For going on three decades, I have been romantically involved with him, and thus might consider myself the authority on Holmes and the romance he contains in bounds.
On the matter I might declare: Sherlock Holmes claims he is no romantic. Evidence points to the contrary.
