    For Touya, he was positive that Yokai existed, to him this wasn't a 'well they could-' thing, he had undeniable proof that they did.

    He, was that proof.

    So, he really didn't know, huh? Or perhaps, it was more accurate to say his relative didn't WANT to believe in the existence of such things. It would mean admitting that perhaps humans weren't at the top of the food chain as everyone thought. It would mean admitting that there were creatures out there that held more power than humans could only dream of having.

    "Who are you to say? This world is bigger than our little kingdom, you know. Say, have you ever traveled outside these walls? Have you ever actually seen what's on the other side? One of these creatures you're so adamant on dismissing the existence of might live right outside our own little plain of existence, and you'd never know because of your minuscule world view. Cousin. You do not know everything, there is no one in this world who knows everything, so unless you have something positive to contribute to this conversation, I would like to kindly ask that you to leave my room, thank you." To say Touya was fed up was a complete understatement

    It just never really occurred to An before now that she could have something as normal as a hobby.

    She’s trying to conquer the world, here. She’s, y’know, busy?

    “It’s okayy~,” says An, and it’s easy to sing-song it in the usual cadence, because now she’s at least pretty sure that Kohane will forgive her at some point for this. “Maybe you’ll get me to watch it with you sometime,” she says, meaning absolutely none of it.

    At her shoulder, Kohane’s face lights up. “Really??”

    From the ground, Akito flicks a flake of paint at her knee, and levels her with a meaningful stare.

    “S-Sure!” An lies anyway.

    An hasn’t seen any of Kohane's favourite movies. Kohane is going to rectify that.
    (Or: Six times An and Kohane watch a movie together, and one time they don’t.)

    This damned dream, the same dream that plagued his mind every single night. The dream where his loved one died. He had always known that one day, getting too close to someone would eventually come back to bite him in the ass. He knew this, and yet he let himself fall, honestly how stupid could he be? He had done so well ensuring that throughout the 16 years he was on this earth, that his life would remain as stress free as possible. That the worry of friendships would never come to be a problem, as he’d actively avoid any possible connections with others.

    Then came the 17th year, the year where everything actively changed for him. New school, new life and worst of all, a new roommate. A roommate that he had no choice but to get along with because he’d be living with him for the foreseeable future. At first, things were fine, he actively kept his distance while still being cordial. He would never outright be mean to his roommate, but he would never make strides to befriend him, either.
