It was Harry, more than any of her other friends, with whom she felt at home. Harry made her feel safe and strong, and though he’d never said it in so many words, she knew he felt the same. There was almost nothing she couldn’t tell him. Their friendship, so firmly rooted in honesty and trust, had always been intense.
But the intensity of those feelings made it difficult for her to keep her attraction to Harry carefully locked away in its mental box.
In moments like this, when she was sitting close enough to see the glint in his eyes as he told a joke and smell the lingering scent of cologne on his shirt, those feelings crept out of their tightly closed box and swam through her brain.
What would it be like to gently touch the stubble on his jaw? To kiss his wine stained lips? To be held in his strong arms?
Hermione could imagine nothing better. Well, almost nothing.

Life is meant to be beautiful, however, she can’t remember the last time she enjoyed it. Instead, the weight of her flaws drags her down deep into the dark abyss of her mind leaving her struggling to even breathe. More often than not she is forced to put on a smile and act like nothing is wrong. When her home life comes to a head she winds up in The Goode Academy, a residential boarding school and therapeutic center. Will a certain green-eyed boy help her come to accept herself? And can she help him in turn?
Or a story in which everyone's a little broken, but with a bit of love some of the pieces come back together.
