Summary
Ryu Rumi has always found herself doing things she doesn't need to do. Like driving herself when a chauffeur could do that, or going to college when she has no real reason to, and getting a job when she absolutely does not need one. Getting a job as an ASES leader at Gwi-ma Academy, she does that purely for fun.
Zoey is on the run from her abusive ex-husband. She gets on a plane and moves from Seoul to California--the city she was born in. Her brother--Jinu--hooks her up with a job as and ASES leader for Gwi-ma Academy. As she spends more and more time away from her previous life, she begins to take a step towards the sun.
Mira has always been pretty good with kids. She admires their innocence and fragility, she always thought she would be a good mother. By the age of 28, Mira's ex-wife divorces Mira after she has a miscarriage and finds out she is incapable of having children. In an attempt to move on with her life, she gets a job working for an after school program.
OR: Rumi, Mira, and Zoey run away from their lives and work at an after school program.

“I… I got caught in the rain,” Zoey managed, doing her best to force air into her lungs in spite of Celine’s burning glare. “I just needed a place to wait for a cab, and Rumi and I talked for a little while, but I didn’t- I didn’t see anything! I swear! Please, just let me go home. I don’t know what any of this is and I won’t say anything. I promise.”
Celine sighed again and, for a moment, Zoey thought that she might be out of the woods.
“I’m sorry, but you won’t be going home tonight.”
