It's easy to tell a story about a hero when everyone dreams of one, or about the horrors of war when the smell of bloodied corpses is still fresh. It's harder to make someone experience what they've never known, and kindness is hard to come by in these perilous times. Harder, still, to believe in.

The young king relaxes an imperceptible amount, and nods, “He’d have access to everyone, from villager to noble, and friendly relationships with most. Who is it now?”
Merlin stares at him, then spreads his palms helplessly, “Me.”
Merlin is Camelot’s spymaster and must reveal himself as such to Arthur when he becomes king.

Summary
