Summary
Vance Hopper was recently turned into a vampire by a stranger, a guy with a weird ass magicians hat, he struggled to find a proper food source without killing anybody so he’d resorted to eating small animals that barely satiate his hunger.
Tonight he’s behind a building rustling through a dumpster finding rats and almost eating them whole. The only thing stopping him is the fact that it’s a rat, disgusting and filthy, almost like him now.
From the soft glow from the full moon he can see the red dripping onto his hands, Vance can’t help it-he’s almost a man possessed. Breathing heavily, the mind fog eased its claws away from Vance’s mind just a little bit, the taste of copper on his tongue is so strong he wants to throw up, he can’t.
He’s ready to go home and sleep in forever, until he hears a rustle and the clank of a can hit the ground behind him. He whirls around at an inhuman speed, his eyes land on a boy his age. The blue hue of the moon illuminating his soft face, Bruce Yamada stares back at him with horror.
Vance dies a little inside.
