“We were saying,” Giles clears his throat, “We think it would be good for you two to continue being seen together, in a similar fashion to last night.”
Buffy stares at him, because that cryptic response definitely cleared things up for her.
Then Jenny, who’s been weirdly quiet since she’s entered the apartment, lays down a newspaper on the coffee table. Buffy’s heart drops twenty meters when she sees the big, bold headline—Rockstar Faith Lehane and Scream Queen Buffy Summers Share PDA-Filled Stroll through LA.
Underneath is a photo, in which a blonde and brunette couple cross the street together. The brunette grins, dimples visible, and has her arm around the other’s shoulder, while the blonde looks up at her with a disgustingly lovesick gaze and smiles so widely and… oh. Oh God.
“They think we’re dating,” Faith says exactly what Buffy’s thinking.
“Well…” Jenny starts. “We think that you should. Date.”
or, rockstar!faith and actress!buffy accidentally get into a pr relationship with each other.

Summary
Post-Chosen, the survivors of the Battle of Sunnydale make their way to Cleveland with plans to tackle that city’s Hellmouth and begin training newly activated Slayers.
Faith throws herself enthusiastically into the task, but then concerns about her escaped con status result in a temporary reassignment to Angel Investigations. What looks like the perfect undercover operation arises, but Rossum Corporation may prove too much of a challenge even for a seasoned Slayer.

Summary
When the Hellmouth closed for good, it severed the connection between the human and supernatural realms, eradicating all vampires and demons on Earth. Buffy watched each of her friends die before her eyes--everyone except Willow, who she thinks was swallowed by the Hellmouth, but hopes is still out there, somewhere.
Now, Buffy recoils from her time as the Slayer. She's moved to New York, works as a high school counselor, and leads a solitary existence made challenging by the trauma she holds in her heart. Except everything changes when Buffy encounters the last person she expects, someone she hasn't seen since she tried to snatch her life out from underneath her: Faith. And she needs Buffy's help.
A coven has managed to once again bridge the gap between the worlds to allow the Tidal Martyr, the powerful new goddess they worship, to cross over.
