He hadn’t expected anyone else to join him except maybe Darren and Simone, though they’d said their goodbyes already. If anyone, it certainly would not have been Ben Shelton, who by all logic should have skipped town after Jannik avenged his Shanghai loss.

Who was he compared to Carlos Alcaraz, wunderkind? Nobody. He, Jannik Sinner, was going to die.
