The door swung wide open, revealing a very adorable-looking sleepy Jeremy. He was wearing some light blue cardigan (now that Michael thinks about it, doesn’t Jeremy always wear that?) and some sweatpants, cheeks flushed from the cold. Jeremy’s eyes lingered over sleepily before flashing in recognition upon seeing Michael’s face. “M-Michael? What are you doing here?” Jeremy asked. Michael felt his face turn red. Fuck.

Katsuki pressed his lips to the corner of his jaw. “We don’t have to,” he said, moving lower. He nipped at his neck, admiring the way Deku exhaled shakily. “You know we don’t have to.”
They didn’t have to, and yet, when Katsuki found Deku’s sweaty body sprawled on his bed, littered with matching hickeys and scratch marks, he realised that this was going to become a recurring problem.
Katsuki breaks the first rule of being a lawyer and sleeps with his paralegal. Problems arise when he does this before he even gets the case.

Katsuki raises an eyebrow. The foot tap. The pout.

He scrubs a hand down his face.
No. Not cute.
No no no no no.
You’re detaching, he reminds himself, mentally slapping his own forehead. You are emotionally detaching like a well adjusted adult who absolutely did not give the guy you’ve been in love with for years an insane gift at a Christmas party to force a reaction.

Katsuki’s not in love. He’s handling it. He’s fine. So fine, in fact, that he gives his definitely-taken childhood best friend a gift he probably shouldn’t have.
