There he was. Crouching behind the counter in tracksuit pants and a black tee, a bottle of pills upended around him, the tips of his ears and what Izuku could see of his face tomato-red and steaming. Baffled wasn’t a big enough word. Shocked wasn’t quite right, either. It was more the, what on earth? feeling you might get if a lion suddenly wandered into a grocery store. Izuku rubbed his eyes.
“Kacchan! It is you! What are you doing down there? Oh my goodness, are you stealing pills?!”

“Is this about the emails?” Todoroki prompts, curiosity brewing.
“Yeah,” Bakugou manages instead of the fiery furious tirade he planned but suddenly can’t bring himself to start at all. “It’s about the emails.”
“Oh.”
The tiny smile curving up Todoroki’s lips should not be so damn mesmeric. But it is. Everything about him is far too distracting. It always has been and it’s unfair that Bakugou has to be subjected to it now of all times.
“You got them? That’s good.”
No - it definitely is not good. A lifetime of bad emails is not what Bakugou signed up to. Not even for this gorgeous man he may or may not have had an attraction to for far too long.
“Listen up asshole - those emails were total fucking shit. If you’re gonna send me stuff at least do it properly. I ain’t gonna respond to any of your half-assed garbage. So you better up your fucking game.”
There it is, that ominous sound. The sound of new mail.

“Quit overthinking it,” Katsuki yells, touching down on the street at Ground Gamma. The warm spring afternoon looks beautiful on him, even as he’s sweaty and scowling in his hot-weather costume. “You know how to do this, nerd! Get out of your head!”
Years-old muscle memory is coming back to Izuku, but it still feels like he needs to shake the dust free, brush off the cobwebs. He wobbles midair before dropping heavily to his feet. The thrusters on the bottom of his boots automatically click off. “I think I’m thinking just as much as I need to,” he snaps, grabbing the hem of his cape and using it to wipe at his face.
Training with his new suit is going… well, it's going.

Midoriya walks away from them, bouncing on his way to eat lunch with All Might, and Bakugou stands ahead, and to Shouto’s left, watching him go. Shouto does not know why this moment, flooded and bloated, keeps him equally transfixed, waiting for Midoriya to turn back. Stars in his eyes, seen even a hallway away, meeting Bakugou’s gaze with an easy smile and a wave before disappearing. Bakuogu’s reaction to it is tenfold, revealing.
Shouto says, “you like Midoriya.”
Bakugou doesn’t immediately bite, lost in the vision of watching Midoriya go, until Shouto’s words trickle in, his brows furrow, his scowl sets.
“What the fuck are you on about, Halfie,” he asks, shoving his hands in his pocket, set on pushing his way through the hall. “Who would have a crush on that nerd?”
