In the candlelight, she wondered how much of her he could see. Hers was a body thirty years lived-in; could he find the scar that marred her left knee, or the smattering of freckles across her ribs? The deep bruising on her thigh and the dark angry welt on her cheek?
She could see him. For a flickering moment, she could see all of him.
He swallowed, taking a deep breath that stuttered in his throat, then placed his hands along the small of her back to draw her closer. The uncertainty in his eyes hadn’t gone away, though it had retreated back and allowed something else to take its place. Perhaps it never would disappear, not truly. Maybe it always circled, loping and low. When she leaned down to kiss him, she could taste the blood on its teeth.
When Rebecca Bentham appears at Horseshoe Overlook, desperate and on the run from the law, Arthur Morgan is forced to reconcile the man he is with the man he wants to be. Who is worth saving?

Summary
Pairing: Low/Mid Honor Arthur Morgan and female OC.
Savigne Ricci is a temporary guest at the Van der Linde camp. Her path crosses with the enforcer of the gang, Arthur Morgan and despite their differences, a relationship develops between them. Loosely (very loosely) based on Red Dead Redemption 2
Full disclosure: Honestly it's just an excuse to write smut and fluff between Arthur Morgan and an original female character, but to do it properly, there is plenty of slice of life stuff to get into the heads of characters. Mostly positive, but it was a brutal time so of course terrible things happen, too. Slow burn-ish, eventual explicit content, enemies to lovers, lovers to enemies - you know how it goes. Low to mid honor Arthur Morgan, but he's a complicated guy so don't frown if high honor stuff happens later on.

Arthur sighed and rose to his feet and stood over her, still scowling and looking mighty cagey. “Well?” he said. “Are you likely to behave?”Emmeline stared up at him. She was too hungry and in too much pain to feel very afraid. “What’s misbehavior to you, mister?”
“Trying to leave. Causin’ any kind of trouble at all.”
Emmeline blinked slowly. “I really don’t got it in me to.”
Arthur cast her a doubtful look. With a shake of his head, he unsheathed a large knife from his belt and darted around the tree. Emmeline felt her ties come undone a moment later. “I s’pose we’ll see. Just to warn you, miss, in case nobody has,” he came back to stand in front of her, the brim of his hat covering his eyes, “there’d be no point to it. You try runnin’, you won’t get very far.”
A woman who relies on no one meets a man relied upon by everyone.
