Summary
Bilbo supposes it’s been there from the very start, perhaps since that fateful night when he heard that deep voice singing for the first time, a harrowing song about a home lost to dragon fire that echoed through the halls of Bag End. He doesn’t know for sure, it might as well have happened gradually, as he’d spent time in the King’s presence in those first weeks of travel.
But he’s certain of one thing, Bilbo realises as he stares at the crinkled, blood-stained petals of the blue iris he’d just coughed up—he’s going to die for Thorin Oakenshield, and it won’t matter if it’s because of dragon fire or the love that makes deadly flowers grow in his lungs.
In which the Hanahaki Disease, known as the flower sickness, occurs in lovestruck Hobbits whose affections will never be reciprocated. Or so they would believe.

Summary
Bilbo Baggins reaches Ravenhill in time to save the lives of two brothers and their uncle, unfortunately at the expense of his own safety. Thorin Oakenshield feels guilty and indebted, so he swallows his pride and sacrifices his principles in order to stop the Hobbit from succumbing to his wounds.
Their unacknowledged, mutual need to protect each other may or may not have something to do with the fact that they are each other’s One. As their frail friendship is left in an uncertain place in the aftermath of the Battle, both of them feel more confused than ever once they start figuring that out for themselves.
A tale involving a comatose Hobbit, political intrigues, gratuitous side pairings, and ridiculous amounts of angst and pining.

“Well, it’s been quite a while since the battle.” Almost two months, two months he has happily spent in Erebor, being with his friends, watching the Mountain come back to life.
He thinks about it all again. There’s nothing keeping him here, he has done his job, Erebor and its treasure are Thorin’s, exactly as they planned nearly a year ago in Bag End. He has lingered in the aftermath, and he should return home, since there is virtually no reason for him to remain here.
Except… home is where the heart is, after all. His heart is definitely not in Bag End anymore, but with the very Dwarf before him. However, this is not a good enough reason to stay, not when he knows his feelings will never be reciprocated.
“So, I’ve been thinking of heading back home.”
Thorin stills. The kind smile on his face vanishes slowly.

Summary
Two weeks have passed since the launch of the USS Enterprise-A, and Jim feels like a stranger on board his own ship. He can tell this is not his Enterprise, even though everything looks exactly the same. However, it's good to be back after spending the past six months stranded on a starbase in deep space, away from his chair and the stars.
It would have been manageable if the only different things had been the ship and a part of his crew. On top of his uneasiness and guilt in the aftermath of the Yorktown incident, Spock has been avoiding him and Jim can't for the life of him figure out why. Even though he has come to terms with his unrequited feelings for Spock long ago, he pines for his First Officer's company more than ever, and hopes he can somehow bring their friendship back to life.
