Summary
Dean Winchester has just arrived back in the US after attending his brother's destination wedding. But, due to the delta variant, he needs to self isolate for ten days before he can go home. Hoping to save some money, he forgoes the expensive quarantine hotel and opts for a cheaper 'shared apartment' option. The kicker is, as a solo traveler, he gets assigned a roommate. But, Dean's got charm to spare and a tight bank account, so he's happy to share with a stranger for a while.
It would suck if it wasn't a stranger but an ex though, right? The very ex that he's been trying and failing to forget for the past five years?
The universe doesn't hate him that much, does it?
(Spoiler alert: It does).

Summary
God has been defeated. Jack is the new sheriff in town. They’ve won, and they’re free.
But Castiel is still dead, trapped within the unreachable depths of the Empty, and not even Jack and his powers have the ability to free him.
Dean has barely spoken two words to anyone since Jack left to assume his new godly role. He spends hours locked in his room, alone, blasting music to drown out his misery, and unbeknownst to Sam, praying to his angel, praying that somehow, Castiel would return to him, just so he could finally tell him he loved him, too.
Now, almost five weeks after Cas was taken, Dean’s missing. He’d mentioned something about catching wind of a case in a nearby town and left before Sam could stop him or offer to go with him. Something about needing to get out and clear his head for a while.
Except it’s been days, and Sam might not have enough time to get to him. Not after he researched the case Dean had mentioned and quickly came to realize that all signs pointed to one monster:
