He shakes his head, pressing his hands down against his ears harder.
“I’m sorry, I’m sorry.” He repeats, his voice cracks, and his throat locks. A sharp pain strikes the back of his head. Painful, yet familiar.
“Please— I’m normal, I’m sorry.” He sobs, his eyes shut tight. He curls his body onto itself even more. The pain on his head returns, then it pounds onto his back. He cries out."
Will Byers doesn't like who he is. Afraid of his own feelings, haunted by voices that sound too much like his father, and trapped in memories that never quite fade, Will struggles to convince himself that he's normal.
