“I’ll draw out your full potential. You just need to trust my Pokémon and do your best.” The tone that Miyuki ends his speech sends Eijun waves of adrenaline pumping through his bloodstream, doubt washed away instantly. Eijun can’t tell if it’s the wind or how Miyuki is looking at him that is causing the goose bumps that trail on his skin, but he hopes it’s the former. The weight around his shoulder lightens, as the boy’s lingering touch leaves him, eyes still the same – playful, but the feeling, which emits through the atmosphere, has changed, evolving just slowly but surely. The unwavering faith, felt in a series of punching words, the wind blowing through the strands of his hair. In the back of his mind, realization dawns on him – as their eyes gleam in a new way, both so similar and yet also different. Both sharing the same motive, Miyuki’s chuckles erode the air once more. “Only that way can we truly become ‘partners’.”

He didn't understand what it meant to feel that way towards Eijun. Was it only him who made him feel that way? He had questioned himself about that, before he felt the weight shift on his left shoulder, warm, pitcher fingers gripping onto the fabric on his jersey, tightly gripping onto his waist. The majority of the other boy's weight had adjusted onto Kazuya, leaning like a lifeless doll, head tilted inwards, the loud sobs reduced to small sniffling. His jersey was wet - that wasn't the thing that had made him more nervous, just the fluttering feeling. As the pitcher shifted nearer to him, he could feel his heartbeat speed up, chest constricted and ears flushing a bright pink. He could feel his cheeks turning rosy, a scarlet red slowly tinting them, as his mind finally clicked.He was in love with Sawamura Eijun.

“Who is that?” Eijun managed to breathe out as the guy sat down at a table with guys similarly built like him and the world was turning again.
What Eijun didn’t notice was the look of concern Haruichi gave to Furuya before speaking.
“That’s Miyuki Kazuya. School superstar. Catcher for our baseball team.” Haruichi said,
“Kazuya…” Eijun tested the name out on his tongue and felt tingles run up his spine.
Eijun Sawamura, a sophomore in high school, felt his entire life change when his family moves from Wisconsin to California for a job transfer. Courtesy of his dad who he, at the moment, hates due to the fact that he has to leave his friends and actual life behind. As his stubborn teenage hormone induced self continues to hate California with a burning passion, he decides to make sure he is not noticed at all in the douche bag filled community of that which is Seido High. But when a certain baseball playing heart breaker catches his attention, can he continue playing hard to get or risk his heart getting broken?

That was probably where the problem lay, Miyuki realized. Instead of distancing himself, he let Sawamura get too close to him. And when people got too close to someone it was very easy to get hurt.
