"Robin."
Robin knows that voice.
Steve Harrington is standing about 30 feet away from her, wide-eyed and looking like he's maybe going to pass out, and holy fuck, she’s going to start crying. She’s really held it together, but Steve is here. And she’s pretty sure it’s actually him.
Robin stands upright, legs a little shaky, and Steve seems to reset. Before Robin can even figure out what to process first, Steve is running."Careful!" She hears Hopper yell as Steve grabs her by the waist and pulls her close. Robin finds all the remaining strength she has to literally jump into his arms and bury her face in his shoulder.
"Jesus, you're here," Steve breathes. He holds her like if he lets go, she’s going to slide right back into the lake, right into Watergate. She tries to hold on just as tight.
”I’m here,” she finally sobs. "I'm, oh my god, I'm so happy to see you."

As much as I loved the finale it did not have to be like that. So heres my fix it...
Robin feels Steve’s hand in hers, realises there are tears in his eyes.
‘Come on, kid. Just step forward. It doesn’t have to be like this, step forward.’And if in slow motion, as if El can hear him, she does. One foot, then the other, and she’s out.
Vickie leans into Robin’s hand, her own grip around Robin’s waist slackening so she can slip a thumb under her shirt and rub a circle on Robin’s hip.
They're safe. They're all, finally, safe.

I fucking hated volume 2. So, I rewrote it!!!

Lucas meets his eyes. A fear washes over them.

A rewrite of sorts, I dont go into the holly max vecna all that stuff because i think they did a decent job with it, but almost everything else i'm rewriting. If any scenes are unclear just assume it followed canon.
