Summary
Luo Binghe was never supposed to escape the abyss three years earlier. The plot was set in stone. It was how things were supposed to go.
Shen Yuan had never prepared for Luo Binghe to come find him during one of his cultivation 'quests' causing him to not only panic at the sudden plot divergence, but fumble around in confusion as he attempted to figure out what he was supposed to do in a situation like this.
No one could have ever predicted this. Not even the system.

Essentially an alternative universe in which Shen Qingqiu isn't the only one confused about the sudden change in PIDW's plot, but the system itself.
The system then takes matters into it's own hands to fix the plot no matter what, convinced that it couldn't be beyond repair.
